The colour of rains in the summer hills

The colour of rains in the summer hills
And of swallows before the dust storms
Of yellow wheat in May
And of deep forests’ charms

I see the divinity moving deep
The same soul that commands the soil
The stars, the trees, the bliss in your eyes
The tenderness of your skin and the shine of your hair
The joy so intense, so deep, yet so rare

The same soul that commands the soil
The very same does in me reside
The same nurturing I and you receive
Far from above the sky
The same soul does glide

The same miracle works under your skin
That bonds me and you so close
It’s the same wonder that I am mesmerized at
It’s the same destiny our souls chose

You and I are not two beings, different, distinct beings
You and I are the sameness brought together,
Through the act of deep seeing
You and I are of value together, because
For each other’s worth we measure
